Woodcraft Sessions at the Denny Tank Workshop

We are coming to the end of our latest block of woodcraft sessions, funded through the Corra Foundation.
Around 20 people engaged with the project from this block of workshops, which included taster sessions, interactive tours of the Denny Ship Model Experiment Tank, and tailored crafting sessions where no idea has been impossible!
Our latest cohort of crafters have been gaining lots of new skills in the workshop, regaining independence and making new friends. The levels of creativity, imagination and dedication from all of the participants has been outstanding and we’ve seen a real impact in their recovery journey as each person grows in confidence and improves their skills week on week.
They have been supported throughout the project by Skylark Recovery Support James, who came through the Skylark project as a participant himself around 5 years ago. During James’ own recovery journey he learned wood work skills and was part of the crew that built Happy Days, a 22ft St Ayle’s skiff, here in Dumbarton.
